CDPR has announced that a sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 is in production

According to Igor Sarzyński, narrative director at CD Projekt Red, they have launched a sequel to "Cyberpunk 2077" called "Project Orion". Acting executive producer Dan Hernberg further emphasized that they want to preserve the DNA of the previous game while strengthening its cultural connection with the United States.

PawełSasko, deputy director of games, pointed out that the Polish studio's production of Cyberpunk 2077 had some details that were European in style, and some of the infrastructure's appearance and placement were inconsistent with the actual situation in the United States. These details may not ruin the player experience, but now they want the sequel to be perfect in details.

In addition to the studios in Poland and Vancouver, the production of the sequel also added a studio in Boston to further enhance the authenticity of the scene in the game, effectively avoid details errors caused by regional cultural nuances, and further enhance the player's immersion experience.

Currently, CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 sequel, Project Orion, is in the early stages of development. The team hopes to preserve and continue the core DNA of Cyberpunk 2077 in the new game.
